The border between the Synthien capitol city, Centropolis, and Bergheim, on the western edge of the Jotune Empire, has always been a contentious one. But now that Lords Oathki and Fenris have launched a joint strike force against Centropolis, that tension has broken into all out war!
Many of you have been following the developments on Sularia with our fiction column, Rumblings of War. So far we've seen how the seeds of dissent were laid in the hearts of the Syntien overlords Animus Vox and Novum Spero, the erstwhile adventures of the vagabond Solomon Fayde, and most recently, the feuding of brother and sister Fenris and Worgana Hrothgar.
The Synthien were a race of machines constructed to serve as servants and laborers to the Jotune, the last remaining human empire on Sularia. Given only rudimentary processing capabilities so they could mine sularium close to biodomes and nuclear-free safe zones, it wasn't long before the Synthien laborers needed more autonomy to travel deeper into hostile territory...
There are four goals to a successful conquest on the world of Sularia. Last week we learned that the first was to gain influence. But what's the value in being influential without a domain to lord it from or a base of operations from which to issue commands?
